Workshop in Beirut, organized by the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lebanon and ACCA Middle East Office: Introduction to the legal frameworks for the transfer price and its calculation methods
We share the Workshop held in Beirut – Lebanon in 22th April, 2019, taught by Mr. Enrique Díaz Tong, organized by the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan (www.institutdesfinances.gov.lb).
In this workshop, Mr. Díaz Tong explained the legal frameworks of transfer pricing and its calculation methods. Participants also learned about the importance of transfer pricing in relation to tax policies, auditing methodologies, customs valuation, and cost calculation methods through the study of practical cases of international companies.
The questions answered by Mr. Díaz Tong were as follows:
- Why the transfer price is given so much importance nowadays ?
- What is the role of transfer price in in tax avoidance and wealth retentiveness?
- What are the main challenge in transfer pricing that Lebanon and middle east countries are encountering?
